Helyx India Hacks is an international bioinformatics-based hackathon for high school and university students all across the globe. We have exciting prizes, resources, and opportunities lined up from multiple companies for attendees and winners. Get your coder hats on and get ready for 5 fun-filled days of coding, hacking, designing, and bioinformatics!
During the 5 days from December 26 to December 31, you participate in a team of up to 4 and create any bioinformatics-related project and be eligible for different prizes along with constant support in the form of credits, special prizes, and workshops from our sponsors. This hackathon is a great way to get introduced to the exciting field of the future that is bioinformatics and build a hands-on project to add to your portfolio!
NOTE: Helyx India Hacks is open to all people everywhere, regardless of their location!
Eligibility
Individuals (students studying at an accredited high school or university)
Teams (up to 4 individuals)
Requirements
Submissions for the hackathon are not restricted to a specific type. Websites, apps, machine learning algorithms, design files, presentations of ideas, etc. are all fair game. Final submissions can include various materials, including but not limited to video demos, Github repository of your code, APK files, link to a hosted website, files of a mockup design, PPT explaining your idea, etc.
In general, functioning prototypes or code-based projects will be judged more highly than simple design files; however, all submissions will be taken into consideration and there are special prizes for different types of submissions.
You may submit any supporting material you think is suitable. For example, if your project is an AI algorithm you may submit a Jupyter notebook and a video demo.
